About Simon Braham
I am a Partner in the Sustainable Growth Funds at Bridges Fund Management. Having spent a career in investment banking and more latterly as an investor in private equity house LDC, am I passionate about investing PE capital differently and firmly believe that backing mission led management teams with a clear sustainability purpose as part of their business models can generate both strong positive impact for people or the planet and also importantly superior financial returns. My role is to originate and execute impactful mid-market investments to back strong management teams with sustainable businesses across a variety of funding needs - to fund further growth, change of ownership (MBOs/MBIs) or a buy & build strategy. As a highly experienced Private Equity investor and Non-Executive Director I have invested across a wide variety of sectors including TMT, healthcare, leisure, support services, consumer goods and industrial products. I have a diverse background in Private Equity, investment banking (M&A Advisory, Equity Research and Leveraged Finance), restructuring and due diligence, developed through senior roles at KPMG, JP Morgan Cazenove, Bank of Scotland Corporate, Lloyds Banking Group, LDC and Bridges Fund Management. Most recently I was an Investment Director in the Manchester office of LDC covering the North West for 8 years where I was responsible for originating, executing and then managing investments. At LDC I completed 12 investments totalling >£200m equity and 8 exits averaging 2.7x money multiple. Investments include: Kirona (subsequently exited 2.1x money multiple), Metronet (exited 4.0x MM), Angus Fire, Stroma, Synexus (exited 2.3x MM), Seabrook Crisps (exited non-disclosed), Giacom (exited n/d), Fishawack (exited n/d), Hills Biscuits, Lakelovers (exited n/d) and WRG Creative Communications. I also completed a number of acquisitions for these investments as part of their growth strategies.
