Led several of BTP's largest cafes; Gloucester Road Bristol, Plymouth, Exeter, Taunton & Torquay. Recruiting, developing and managing teams of 30+ people. Delivering a great customer experience through providing exceptional food & drinks. Managing all aspects of day to day operations including menu availability, customer feedback, stock control, sales driving, compliance and achieving budgeted P&L accounts. Led two new cafe openings in Taunton & Torquay recruiting, inducting and training a new team, assisting with all aspects of opening orders, processes, kitchen & bar design and cafe set-up. Led recruitment days, delivered core training, organised dry run practice days and carried out a community engagement event; Pledge to the Planet. Barista trained and kitchen cross trained to high standard. Managed some of BTP's largest kitchens running the pass on busy weekends, managing compliance & allergens and delivering menu availability via accurate stock & preparation levels. Key achievements: People Award achieved at Plymouth for highest number of promotions and team stability, delivered many environmental improvements such as the removal of single use coffee cups, introduction of milk pergals, removal of clingfilm and paperless compliance. Two very successful new cafe openings. Supported the growth and progression of 5 General Manager's. Assisted struggling cafes providing regional support and part of new opening team for BTP Worthing.

Assisting the General Manager with all aspects of running a large cafe

Managed various Social Enterprise initially Bath Bike Workshop and Bath Soup Company. Successfully set up 3 new Julian House Bike Workshops in Trowbridge, Bristol and HMP Erlestoke providing Meaningful Occupation & employability skills to Service Users through bike refurbishment. Developed teams of staff and volunteers who provided quality cycle services, repairs, new & refurbished bike sales, cycle maintenance and Dr Bike events.

Set up and grew a successful Garden & Landscaping business that covered Wiltshire & Bath. Built a regular client base of 30+ as well as delivering many "one off" projects including clearance, tree & bulb planting, landscaping & design and garden refurbishment.
