The main activity being a 3 million EUR reimplementation of SAP ECC6 FICO, MM, PM, SD with links to ADP for HR and payroll and on premise production control scheduled to Go Live on 1 April 2019 and a 2 million EUR transformation of a bespoke manufacturing execution system to one based on PSI Metals.

Defining and promoting a global infrastructure and applications strategy for the Group. Aligning mergers and acquisitions. Building a strong IT organisation and fit for purpose vendor partnerships. Managed the UK migration of Exchange OnPremise to the Group’s O365 tenant for 2,500 users and introduced Skype for Business Meeting Room systems. Managed the separation and transitional service agreements of Liberty Speciality Steels and Liberty Pipes Hartlepool – over 2,500 employees across 6 sites from Tata Steel Europe. A 12 month programme of work with a separation budget of over 10 million GBP. Workstreams across the IT landscape building completely new infrastructure, application migration, selection and deployment of the first Multi Tenant Infor Cloudsuite Industrial Machinery (based on Infor LN and Infor OS technology) with HR and workforce management modules, renegotiation of all contracts and standing up new service delivery function. Led the scoping exercise to extend the use of Infor Cloudsuite Industrial Machinery to 5 more UK steel locations and also for the reimplementation of Infor LN from On-Premise to Cloud version for the Liberty Engineering Division. Led the separation of Liberty British Aluminium, the only UK based Aluminium Smelter from the Rio Tinto Group. Implementation of one of the first cloud based MS Dynamics 365 Operations in the UK in 5 months. Network separation, Office 365 migration and integrations with process control systems.

During a challenging time for the Stemcor Group I have been tasked with restructuring the global IS function to become one that is aligned to the go forward business model. This has involved reshaping the IS departments, refocussing the core team and winding down the global ERP programme. Have been a key contributor to the overall restructuring programme that Stemcor has been undertaking since mid 2013. Designed the operational processes and reporting mechanisms to support a unique new committed structured trade finance and borrowing base mechanism of $1.15 billion in conjunction with the Group’s major lenders. Designed new cash forecasting reporting models from the trading, financial and treasury platforms to meet new governance rules.

A strategic role to align business requirements and expectations across a federated multi company group. Keeping IS aligned to changing and challenging business priorities and setting realistic requirements from the business.
