Migration methods included new installs, full cabinet lift and shifts, full cabinet de-rack, flight case moves and re-racks, live VM migrations and one conversion to private suite. Each project included recabling, power refreshes and connectivity migrations.Project: Sue Ryder Care WAN rollout consisting of 44 sites, 57 circuits, Cisco deployment providing new BT Wholesale fibre and EFM circuits with DSL backup, provision of new managed Cisco firewall pair, and separate guest Wi-Fi network provision.Project: Project governance for Managed VoIP phone solution for Thompsons solicitor’s consisting of national WAN circuit upgrades, managed Cisco PoE switches, 1000+ handset deployment, and number range porting.Projects: Multiple small projects to rollout VoIP, WAN solutions, Co-Location provisions, for customer’s such as Trowers & Hamlins, Bluefin, and Shoosmiths, whilst managing various suppliers such as BT Openreach, BT Wholesale, Gamma, Colt, Virgin Media, Technimove, Azzurri.

Cintas is a $4bn US company, the Cintas UK subsidiary is a leading provider of document management solutions including archiving, scanning and digitisation, and secure document shredding.Appointed Cintas UK IT Manager - being acquired from Squirrel Storage - responsible for identification and implementation of strategic IT projects reporting to the UK Board, with a team of 9 direct reports.‘Foundation’ Programme: Four inter-related projects, devised and delivered these to build the foundation for CDMUK’s business growth over 5 years, consisting of MPLS network, server and desktop virtualisation (VMware vSphere, Horizon View), and replicated geographically dispersed SAN storage. Budget managed £757,235.Achievements: The ‘Foundation’ business case benefits were fully realised; provided unified, cost effective, scalable solution reducing business risk and improving productivity. All benefits delivered within budget, with some deliverables re-scheduled due to other business priorities.Project: Implement company-wide ISO 27001 Information Security Management System.Achievements: Gained ISO 27001 Certification within six months.Project: Represent IT in enterprise wide initiative to attain Business Continuity Planning certification.Achievements: First UK organisation to be awarded Business Continuity Planning ISO 22301 (25999) accreditation.Project: Migrate four legacy email systems to Microsoft BPOS cloud, then latterly upgrade from BPOS to MS Office 365. Reported to Operations DirectorProject: Replace ageing, unreliable, end-of-life, warehouse handheld scanners.Achievements: Developed and implemented reliable, Motorola scanners and upgraded handheld applications, improving operational efficiency, vastly boosting warehouse moral, and reducing overtime costs.Project: Server virtualisation consisting of VMware vSphere, Windows 2008, HP SANs, HP 380/580s, and upgrades of MS Exchange & MS SQL which had exceeded capacity.Achievements: Delivered on time (one year) and within budget;10-fold performance increase on critical applications, a separate development environment, replicated off-site DR solution, upgraded MS SQL Server and Exchange Server and off site HP tape drive backup. Issues were experienced with replication software so managed process to ensure this was replaced by vendor free of charge.Project: To automate the lengthy and erroneous manual invoicing solution.Achievements: An automated bi-monthly billing platform was delivered incrementally over two years, reducing billing errors and reducing the preparation time from two weeks to four hours. Project: Six new nationwide site rollouts consisting of WAN & LAN connectivity, structure cabling, phones, PCs, printers, handheld scanners, and all necessary application and system changes.Achievements: Each new warehouse site successfully brought online during two year period, on time and predominately within budget.
