Achieving my required standards to integrate into the company as an effective engineer I was utilised as a service engineer. I completed all requirements in this area from services to identification of hazards and classifications of these, as this is very important in the domestic market. In doing this it gave me an eye for detail. I also had to keep up to date with recent regulation changes. In doing all this seen me progress into maintenance. I am still currently doing maintenance on a daily basis and when required servicing.

During my time as an apprentice I worked and assisted service engineers, maintenance engineers and technicians. I feel a lot of knowledge was learned during this process. During this period I attended City of Glasgow College to, learn the gas safety installation and use regulations along with the dangers of working with natural gas. I also learned the correct procedures for dealing with incidents, servicing, repairing and installing gas appliances. During my 3 years at college I worked on completing my S/NVQ Level 3 in Domestic Natural Gas Installation and Maintenance. During this course I also worked on the core skill - working with others. I feel that this gave me the power to be who I am today.
