I have been in the electrical industry for 16 years now and have a broad range of skills. I started my apprenticeship with a family owned company in Gisborne, New Zealand. With this company I learned Domestic Electrical Installation, Renovations and Maintenance, Commercial installs, industrial maintenance. When I moved to Perth, Australia I worked with a Fire company which mainly done commercial installs around the Perth metro area. After 2 years I got a job with RCR Infrastructure bassed in Port Hedland doing local maintenance at BHP, FMG and town works. This lasted a year then I had the oppotunity to do a small construction project at BHP Billiton north yard substation upgrade. This project lasted 18 months and went through 3 stages. STAGE 1 was the install of a new switchroom and transformers, cutting into the HV ring main, and re-installing the switchroom. STAGE 2 was the cut over of the existing plant from the soon to be redundant switchroom. We cut over every thing from the HV ballance machines and connecting belt drives, to the control and instrumentation devices. STAGE 3 was the Zero Energy decommissioning of the TCB1 Tertiary Crusher building at BHP North Yead. After this project finished our small electrical team moved onto the HVAC install at the BHP Mooka Ore Car Repair Facility. We done the electrical and instrumentation for the HVAC system in the 20,000 square meter workshop.Currently I am an Electrical Leading Hand on the Tianqi Lithium processing plant under construction in Kwinana WA working for ECM. This role includes planning day works with my supervision. Interacting with the client and other contractors. Providing my team with the correct information and documentation to achieve our targets. Filling out day works/ time sheets for my crew.
