The strategic product management of the Lombard portfolio of automotive products. This includes Lombard Contract Hire, Hire Purchase, Micro and SME fleet finance, fleet funding for fleet providers, and wholesale unit stocking. The consideration of future mobility strategy is a core element of my role.

Midlands

The strategic product management of a portfolio of asset finance products for the Lombard business. Responsibilities included commercial direction, product variation and new product and proposition introduction. Projects have included a new agency background fleet finance product, introduction of a new car scheme for RBS staff, an approach for digital proposition pricing, activities to ensure regulatory compliance, a high net worth car finance product and the continuing management and development of the Lombard Contract Hire solution, Lombard Vehicle Management.

Midlands

Responsible for the management and strategic direction of Lombard Vehicle Solutions, the Lombard outsourced contract hire and fleet management solution replacing LVM following an exit from the market in 2012. Initially project managed supplier selection, negotiation, contracting and implementation through to launch in July 2012. Responsible for the third party interface with ALD Automotive, ensuring the full operational and commercial framework operates within Lombard, and for achieving the 5 year plan.

Planned two years direct relationship management experience managing NatWest and RBS branded commercial banking customers in the Midlands area. Customer base consisted of large franchised dealers and dealer groups of upto £100m turnover. Responsibilities included full banking interface, new project lending and the management of deteriorating credit situations.

Responsible for product and market development and the customer facing fleet consultancy team at Lombard Vehicle Management , #6 contract hire provider in the UK at the time. Successfully launched many new products and strategicproducts, new commercial parnerships and an RBS initatives including an end to end commercial review, new fleet management wide internal car scheme that grew 300% to 3,000 units delivered in its second year of operation.

Responsible to the MG Rover main board for managing all outsourced Financial Services requirments in the UK. These included the branded dealer retail (HP/PCP etc) and dealer stocking finance provided through Capital Bank (HBOS), branded Contract Hire through Bank of Scotland Vehicle Management, and Motor Insurance through Royal and Sun Alliance. Successfully managed the investment in MGR Capital, a JV with HBOS created to optimise the run out of an existing portfolio of 58,000 former BMWFS retail finance agreements achieving a return of 200% of plan (£20m).

Responsible for the financial mangement of the BMWFS divisions of Rover, Land Rover, Mini and MG, a total net investment of £950M at the end of 2000. This responsibility extended to include local sales support, and divisional product marketing from January 2001.

Jointed the ICL Fujitsu graduate entrant scheme and progressed through various divisions and locations managing finance from new product development, general sales, complex tenders, large government project implementations, PFI and large ticket computer leasing.
