Responsible for a team consisting of 2 Health and Safety Managers, 3 Health and Safety Advisors and a 2 team administrators.• Savings in departmental operating costs £65 000 in the first 6 months, Projected a further saving of at least £140 000 in 2018. Whilst improving standards and service levels across the group.• Review of all HSE management systems and creation of new processes. Including accident investigation, site safety inspection and director dashboards for review.• Cultural change implementation has commenced, safety concerns initiative launch with great initial success.

Offices located in the Southampton area, Turnover of £85 million consisting of predominantly new build sites (£80 million) both contracting for housing associations, and high spec developments for sales. Sites ranging from £2million to £45 million in value. With the remaining turnover being generated from Decent Homes refurbishments for Southampton City Council. Responsible for a team consisting of 1 Health and Safety Consultant, 1 Trainee Health and Safety Advisor and a team administrator.• Full safety management system review and gap analysis. Update of management system and creation of robust risk assessment process, pre-qualification system (supply chain standards), construction phase plan, crane lifting plan, non-crane lifting plans, tower crane management system, temporary works procedure and associated documents.• Introduction of new site auditing process, to ensure legal compliance, consistency in approach and provide an effective management tool. • Monthly board report creation, organising and chairing monthly health and safety committee meetings, site manager’s focus group meetings.• Setting objectives, targets and KPI’s for the company’s health and safety performance.• Creation of training workshops, safety bulletins.
