Simon sadly passed away in Oct 2015, he was always interested in anything to do with data centres, colocation and hosting. Particularly new data centre builds and energy efficiency innovations. The advice and guidance he gave help hundreds of businesses to ensure they chose the right solution to meet their immediate and long term business needs. This was provided whilst working for both the DCA (data centre industry association) and Colofinder (data centre search and selection consultancy). My objective is to widen the participation and the services and benefits the DCA provides for its members. This is the activity that keeps me very busy for the vast majority of my day.In addition to the DCA my Colofinder activity keep me sharp and up to date with industry matters, I've now lost count of how many data centres I have reviewed - both from technical, commercial and market positioning standpoints. I have a good understanding of datacentre infratructures and the technologies used to achieve both system integrity and energy efficiency.
