My experience at Mayford Joinery involved the following duties:-Interpretation of job details -Calculation of timber cutting lists -Timber selection -Breaking out of timber -Machining sawn timber through four-sided planer -Marking out timber-Mortising, tenoning and spindle-moulding -Assembling -Sanding to a fine finishI made nearly all the staircases during my time at Mayford Joinery. I wasn't counting, but I think it the number would be over 1000 staircases. These ranged from fairly standard pine and MDF staircases right through to beautiful cut-string oak staircases with wreathed handrails and all the trimmings.
