• Working closely with new and existing production units on style (SKU) start ups, selecting and managing suppliers, inspecting raw materials and finished goods, and monitoring and assessing quality related risk
• Monitoring the Clarks manufacturing process, ensuring material standards are implemented in the end to end Development and Quality cycle
• Writing and delivering a quality process manual to sit Globally within the business set up
• Overseeing production for new factories, existing setups and new styles (SKUs)
• Working alongside the development department to guide the entire production and manufacture process, from pre-production to shipping
• Demonstrating company-wide leadership when monitoring material standards, sole design and many other component quality standards, ensuring quality in all elements of the manufacturing process

• Liaising with external agents to ensure international suppliers follow quality assurance best practice in line with Clarks quality standards, as well as adhering to factory and employment laws and working best practices
• Overseeing warehouse inspections to ensure quality in all aspects of manufacture and shipping, requiring constant vigilance and ensuring strict adherence to company standards
• Ensuring sustainability and traceability of all raw materials in the manufacturing process
• Working on a major project to introduce Clarks quality standards to the outlets team, as there was no pre-existing structure – requiring regular reporting, assertive leadership and careful monitoring across this.

Vietnam

• Travelling internationally on behalf of the business, working closely with a local quality control team and looking after 6 factories in Vietnam and Cambodia
• Solely responsible for overseeing a team of 25 people, ensuring a gold standard of performance while fully training these teams to self-sufficiency
• Training and guiding the team in this rewarding role, using extensive experience learned over years of working within the business to fully train and support these teams and achieve the exceptionally high quality.
• Being a key point of escalation for the team when troubleshooting issues, from raw material deliveries through to production quality and issues with the manufacturing process
• Demonstrating a sound understanding of team leadership when matching team members to roles as the project developed, basing decisions on skill level and individual strengths
