As Head of B2B & Education at Ryman, Simon has full responsibility for the performance of the Ryman Business & Ryman Education brands including the rymanbusiness.com website. Highlights include:- Led the launch of the Rymanbusiness.com website, commercials, back end systems, processes and marketing strategy. - Launched the first-ever Ryman Education & Business catalogues. - Launched the Ryman 2 Hour Delivery service in London.

Simon provided dedicated support to the Theo Paphitis Retail Group CEO on all business, management and commercial matters. Highlights include:- Played a key role in the Theo Paphitis Retail Group acquisition of the London Graphic Centre- Provided the Group CEO with analytics, research and suggestions to aid strategic decision making- Successfully trialled a number of new initiatives within the Group- Accountable for management and strategy formulation for a selection of Theo Paphitis’ investment portfolio including Dragons’ Den investments.

Successfully built the 1-man-department as Group Photographer & Videographer (below) into a 5 person department meeting the needs for all media requirements of the Group. Highlights include:- Setting up a new studio from scratch at the Robert Dyas distribution centre in Hemel Hempstead. - Directed & edited the viral video “We’re Robert Dyas and we’re gay. And straight. And bi…” which returned over 100 million impressions. The viral video was featured in news reports for the vast majority of tabloid press in the UK as well as overseas on the tonight show starring Jimmy Fallon.- Directed, edited & wrote the script for “Buster?... Not on my trampoline!”, a viral advert for Robert Dyas which generated over 1 million views across web channels and was ranked as the 3rd most emotionally compelling advert of the 2016 christmas season by MobileMarketing, all for a filming budget under £250. - Introduced a charging and briefing process to build the studio into an internal profit centre.

Working as a 1-man-department in a brand new role, Simon set up a photography and videography studio from scratch to supplement the media requirements for Ryman, Robert Dyas and Boux Avenue. Highlights include:- Introducing the use of 360 degree photography to the Ryman & Robert Dyas websites- Producing a range of video buying guides for Robert Dyas that delivered a triple figure ROI through YouTube - Set up the Group Studio from scratch to be an internal cost centre serving the group and its suppliers.

Simon represented SkiWorld as a Chalet Host in one of their “Superior” chalets. Giving a 5 star service to 13 guests a week in Les Arcs, France.

As an intern at Ryman Stationery, Simon received high level training of how a multi channel business runs. This included working as part of the commercial team focussing on group initiatives to drive profitability. Highlights include assisting the launch of DHL in the Ryman store network and a key role in coordinating the annual company conference for 500+ delegates.

Working as an Accounts Assistant, Simon had full ownership of producing financial year end results and cash flow statements for a number of sole traders and small businesses
