BackgroundI served with Essex Police from 1991 to 2019. The majority of my service was with the Tactical Firearms Unit, and Specialist Operations Department. I was trained in a variety of skills such as overt and covert firearms tactics where I achieved Raid 1 (R1) status and led firearms teams during armed operations. As the training and assessment was ongoing, I was highlighted for further training in more specialist roles such as, Close Protection (Royal/Ministerial/Visiting Heads of State/Witness Protection), Dynamic Intervention, Marine Intervention, Armed Surveillance, Advanced Driving and Surveillance Driving Tactics, Armed CBRN Tactics, Rural Surveillance Support Operative, Behavioural Detection Operative and Counter Terrorism.....As you can see, extremely varied! Having been a Police trained Behavioural Detection Operative, I continue to deploy on specialist operations ranging from International Sporting franchises, Iconic Site Security, Home Office Public Inquiries and Major Sporting and Entertainment venues. Provider of protective security training, namely Behavioural Detection, Security Awareness and Personal Safety.Hand On First Aid (L3 FAW/PFA/EFAW Instructor) First Responder on Scene L3 AccreditedDuring early 2020, I retrained and completed my Award in Education and Training L3 and undertook further training to become a First Aid instructor, again, which I continue to do, as Hands On First Aid, offering approximately 80 different first aid courses.
