Experience and AchievementsSimon's career in the industry has been diverse, having worked in various roles such as design draftsman, project management, and sales. In 1989 Simon as a self-employed consultant bid against 12 other companies and won the prestigious project of designing, installing and commissioning all the perimeter turnstiles for the New and Highly Acclaimed Don valley Stadium in Sheffield. This landmark project followed the highly tragic occurrence now known as the Hillsborough Disaster. Simon worked closely with the police and within the guidance of the Justice Taylor report to look to ensure that this kind of previous disaster would not happen again. In 1994, he founded Security Solutions GB Ltd, a company that specialised in manufacturing physical access control equipment. The company quickly became one of the largest and most profitable businesses in the UK.Notable ProjectsThroughout his career, Simon and his companies have undertaken numerous high-profile projects. One notable example is the design, installation, and commissioning of rising road blockers, sliding gates, and interlocking security systems for all of the cash handling centres throughout England for a major Bank in England.In 2010, Simon founded another successful company called Origen ESP. With a presence in London, Norway, Sweden, and Bahrain, the company gained a strong reputation in the industry. One of their notable installations was at Bahrain International Airport, where they supplied, installed, and commissioned all the security access control entrance equipment.Another noteworthy project was the installation of a crash-tested rising road blocker and security interlocking system for a highly sensitive document handling centre-security data centre within the United Kingdom.
