Managing the Ministry of Health's portfolio of leased and owned corporate property, I am responsible for the long term planning associated with the Ministry's portfolio with associated financial planning as well as capital works delivery, fleet management and front of house services.

Working as the paternity cover in the National Property Manager role I was responsible for all aspects of Te Kura's property portfolio including FM, H&S, leasing and BCP. The portfolio consisted of a Wellington head office, a number of regional offices and around a hundred community centers though which Te Kura delivered its learning outcomes.As part of my duties I oversaw the short notice partial decanting of the Wellington office to facilitate roof remediation works, seismic upgrades to the Wellington office and seismic assessments to a number of regional and community locations. Alongside this work was the analysing the risk of these assessments and developing plans to remediate this risk.In relation to the H&S function for the organisation, my major deliverables including developing new safe driver policies with associated fleet upgrade recommendations, and reworking the BCP and scenario planning documentation

Working within a newly developed team, my role is to manage and deliver on all aspects of 3 large remediation and construction projects with budgets ranging from ~$2-5m, on specialist archival storage facilities.Responsibilities:Manage all aspect of the project delivery process from concept design to project close out.Development of business cases, procurement strategies, funding proposals and change management requests.Develop my own financial tracking and project management tools to ensure information is available quickly, is accurate and up to date.Monthly project reporting including progress updates and financial reporting.Developing strong customer relationships to ensure project objectives are well understood and achievable.Financial reconciliation, invoice processing, cost tracking, and accrualsIdentifying key stakeholders and engaging with them to ensure the project is appropriately supported both technically and at a strategic level.Support property team utilising, my knowledge of construction and procurement as well as various codes and guidelines governing the ownership and maintenance of buildings in New Zealand.Although my main duty is the delivery of a range of projects I also support the business utilising my engineering skills as well as my knowledge of construction and maintenance practices. This requires a flexible approach to problems and engagement with a wide range of stakeholders and customers including legal, finance, procurement, governance, end users and other projects.

Asset Manager/Facilities Manager for Wellington City Council's Social Housing portfolio, which includes approximately 2300 housing units made up of 40 medium-high density sites around the city, 12 smaller sites and 126 standalone houses.I'm responsible for the annual Capital Renewals program (up to $4M/yr) as well as the scheduled and reactive maintenance programs. This includes compliance activities (BWOF,trial evacuations, fire reports etc), green space management, cleaning and general services (security, lifts, HVAC). I manage a small team as well as the main FM contractor and various subcontractors delivering the total services required to maintain the portfolio. My duties include tendering and managing individual contacts, forward planning budget management annual program delivery, monthly financial reconciliations, monitoring reactive work throughput and communications.

Contract Manager for Wellington region surfacing, including Wellington City Council contract Kapiti Coast District Council, and private contracts. Responsible for plant management, programming, financial management of department, team management, managing minor civil work supporting larger resurfacing contracts.I was responsible for the programming and delivery of the yearly resurfacing for 2 of the 3 WCC roading districts (north and central), including chipseals and asphalting. Experienced in various NZTA specs including Mix 10, 15, 20, SMA, OGPA, polymer modified asphalts and various others.Also responsible for minor civil works including road barriers, kerb realignments and other associated road infrastructure.
