Glng Upstream Project,Western Queensland

Electrix was awarded the contract for electrical installation work associated with the upstream gas gathering facilities for the GLNG coal seam gas project near Roma, Western Queensland.working with McConnell Dowell Constructors (for Fluor / Santos)GLNG Fairview 04 Gas Compression Facilities.The scope comprised the installation, connection, calibration and testing of electrical equipment and accessories associated with the Fairview 04 Gas Compression Facilities.The award of this project was a further recognition by Fluor of the strong safety performance and the high quality of work displayed by Electrix on the associated GLNG Roma 02 Project.All hubs completed without an LTI across all hubs.

Gold Coast Light Rail, Gold Coast, Qld

Working with McConnell Dowell Constructors to complete the construction and completion of the Light Rail project. Project included the relocation of Public Utilities Plant along the rail corridor Worked within the highly motivated McConnell Dowell Safety Team throughout the project. Additionally worked as Electrix Regional QSE Advisor until Regional QSE Manager was employed.

Toombul

The Airport Link and busway project involves 15 km of tunnelling including the road (5.7 km of twin tunnels), busway tunnels and connecting ramps, as well as 25 bridges and result in over 7 km of new road. The estimated construction cost of the Airport Link is $4.8 billion. One of 4 highly motivated safety team members at Toombul civil site under a 24 hour 7 day roster.Construction activities involved:Cut & Cover excavation of the TBM launch boxes including the spoil conveyorThe completion of the jacked box operation under the North Coast Railway line at Toombul was the largest of its type to be undertaken in the world.Ventilation station outlet and underground buildingWidening and excavation of the local road network

Tarong Power Station Upgrade

Engineering firm Siemens installation of a new, computerised distributed control system for its Tarong Power Station at Nanango, O’Donnell Griffin supplied the electrical and instrumentation workforce for the project.Sole Safety Advisor position providing all safety resources for the project for both Siemens and O’Donnell Griffin electrical & instrumentation team. Nil Lost time injuries over the course of the project

Gold Coast Desalination Project, Tugun, Qld

The project involved the construction of an RO desalination plant, 1.5km marine intake and outlet tunnels, a 25km pipeline to connect the plant to the South East Queensland water grid, a 1,900l per second pump station and a 125Ml reservoir.Safety Advisor for both principal contractor John Holland and Thiess Kentz Fire systems and Installation and Electrical & Instrumentation labour force.Majority of installation work located on the Desalination plant site.
