I am one of New Zealand’s leading experts in resource economics. I combine economic and policy expertise, with deep institutional knowledge of the energy and resources sectors, plus leading modelling expertise.I head Concept's modelling practice, and have developed numerous models over the years to inform business and Government clients. Most recently, I have developed the whole-of-economy model used by the New Zealand Climate Change Commission for setting its carbon budgets.I am one of New Zealand's leading experts on network economics including tariff design, and has advised extensively on electricity and gas market design.Prior to joining Concept, I held a senior management position for a Contact Energy - one of New Zealand's largest energy companies - and prior to that worked in the UK as a consultant on energy and emissions markets in the UK and Europe.
