As Senior Member-Services Specialist I am responsible for long and short term planning, development and continuous improvement of services delivered to the FIFPro Members.

Among other responsibilities, my role as the Advisor to the Division is to:• manage the implementation of the FIFPro Asia Position Paper as adopted by FIFPro Asia• provide political advice and support to the Chairman of FIFPro Asia• provide political advice and support to the FIFPro Asia representative • liaise with key stakeholders of FIFPro Asia including the Asian Football Confederation, Asian football associations and clubs in relation to the work of FIFPro Asia.

With the affairs of the PFA being managed by a committee of management comprising 11 or 12 persons (PFA Executive Committee) my role as President is to conduct the affairs of the PFA in furtherance of the PFA Statement of Purposes.As President I lead, control and manage the business and affairs of the PFA in relation to:(i) the negotiation, making, approval, lodging, operation, extension, variation, termination, conclusion or other dealing with any Collective Agreement, Industrial Instrument, contract, arrangement or understanding on behalf of or in respect to the PFA, any Member or Footballer, including in relation to any National Team, League, Club or Academy;(ii) any industrial dispute or industrial situation that may involve the PFA, any Member, Footballer, employer or person in, or in connection with, his or her employment, registration or engagement as a Footballer, including a demarcation dispute; and(iii) any matter pertaining to the relationship between any Member, Footballer, employer or person responsible for or any way connected with the administration of Football, including FIFA, FIFPro, the AFC, FIFPro Asia, FFA or any National Team, League, Club or Academy.

In 2005 I returned to Australia after playing professional football overseas. With the relaunch of the A-League I went to Perth Glory signing a three year deal. I received MVP for Perth Glory for the 2006–07 season.I joined Turkish club Sivasspor on a four-month loan during the A-League off-season, and returned to Perth Glory for the start of the 2007–08 A-League season, and was handed the Perth Glory captaincy.I then signed a two year deal, and joined Sydney FC from the start of the 2008–09 season. On 31 March 2010, I switched clubs to Melbourne Heart and was named the inaugural captain of the new club.I finished my A-League career whenI was released by the Heart at the conclusion of the 2012–13 A-League season.

I first entered the Australian national selection framework at Under-20 level in 1997 while at the AIS. This led to a national team debut in 1998 against Fiji. I remained in the national focus, selected as Captain of the squad at the 1999 FIFA World Youth Championship in Nigeria.Later that year I was called up by then Socceroo manager Raul Blanco to make an appearance in the Socceroo's friendly against Manchester United on 18 July at the MCG. .Following my recovery from a long-term injury, I was selected for the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, and was part of the national team squad for the 2005 Confederations Cup. I went on to be selected in matches leading up to the Asian Cup 2007.In 2010 I played my final caps as part of the Australian National Team setup leading into the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Upon the demise of the National Soccer League (NSL) in 2004 I made a move into Asia in the newly restructured Malaysia Super League at Pahang FA, helping them win the 2004 championship

In 2001 I joined English side Manchester City for a season.

I completed the Australian Institute of Sport football program in 1997 and signed with new National Soccer League club Carlton for their inaugural year.
