University I was a part of the most extensive IT deployment in education in the UK within 2012, Deploying student computers across Plymouth University and other learning institutions, reporting to the Project Manager. I was required to oversee the project and ensure that it remained on schedule and in line with the University’s strategic goals and objectives. This required me to complete all requests for service and installation within agreed service levels and ensuring that accurate and timely updates were relayed to the Project Manager on a daily basis. Resolving and identifying any incidents or issues and acting as first point of contact was an important part of this project and within previous employment. I feel that my proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership for issues and resolve them to a positive outcome has contributed towards my team’s success. All incidents were logged and prioritized according to procedures. Any issues that could not be resolved were escalated to both manufacturers and third party engineers. After working on the Acer production team for 3 years I undertook Toshiba training to gain the Toshiba certification in order to become a lead technician on the new Toshiba Notebook Contract.
