The Boating Industry Association (BIA) strives to be the voice and authority to government departments, associated bodies and interest groups, representing the Boating and Marine Industry, whilst creating awareness within the community and promoting the benefits of safe recreational boating. Whilst its activity within the industry is quite diverse, some of the key issues that the BIA deal with include:* The promotion and benefits of the boating industry to its members and the public.* The maintenance of committees in the fields of boat shows, legislation, facilities, safety, promotion, training and special subgroups. * To work closely with government, marine organisations and other interest groups to increase the industries effectiveness. * To conduct and promote boat shows that reflect the size and importance of the industry and its membership. * To dedicate profits from boat shows and other marketing endeavours to benefit and promote the industry. * To maintain a permanent office and full time staff to represent, assist its membership and conduct its affairs. * The BIA is also involved in important issues that touch upon all aspects of our recreational use of the waterways, namely: - The Environment - Boating Safety - Waterways Infrastructure - Access - Public Facilities

Yamaha Motor Insurance (YMI) is a division of Yamaha Motor Financial Services that provides asset protection for Yamaha branded motor bikes, marine engines, private pleasure craft and personal water craft. The International Council of Marine Industry Associations - ICOMIA - is the international trade association representing the global marine industry since 1966. ICOMIA brings together national boating federations in one global organisation and represents them at an international level, presenting a strong and united voice when dealing with issues challenging the industry. No less than 35 national federations across the world are full members of ICOMIA today. Our members include the vast majority of the industrialised countries from North America across to Japan and China and from Finland down to New Zealand. ICOMIA's working committees predominantly consist of our member associations and provide forums where the national associations can share their experiences and most importantly plan collectively to address issues of the industry worldwide. With the support of our members throughout the world and in conjunction with the appropriate associations, ICOMIA lobbies international authorities and major organisations, publishes documents and guidelines and produces tools to facilitate the growth of the industry. The Executive Committee is the management board of ICOMIA. It comprises 8 members drawn from a representative geographical spread of the full members. Members usually serve a 5-year term less the President whose membership of the committee may extend to 7 years.

The Boating Industries Alliance Australia is the national peak body for the recreational and light commercial boating industry in Australia. BIAA provides a national voice for the alliance of state Boating Industry Associations, including Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, Northern Territory and Marine Queensland, working on their behalf as members to advance, promote and protect the boating industry.
