Supporting a varied user base on all Windows and Mac OSx Operating Systems, whilst also managing the ~800 computers within the school and being responsible for the implementation, management and configuration of the servers within the school which are running Microsoft Server 2003; Microsoft Server 2008; and Ubuntu 10.04. I have developed the extensive knowledge required to provide professional and accurate end-user support to users of all capabilities and includes such things as Operating System specific queries; software related queries (from standard Office software queries to more complex or specialist software support); Anti-virus/malware infection resolution; AV systems queries; computer, networking and peripheral related queries; and appropriate advice on the procurement of desktop or server hardware and/or software,in conjunction with providing a more high level support with the configuration, management and deployment of all Windows Operating Systems via either Ghosting technologies, SCCM Operating System Deployment or Microsoft Deployment Tools 2010; commissioning of new and replacement servers including migration of services and data to new servers; decommissioning of redundant hardware; all aspects of Active Directory/VAS management including creating and deploying computer and user settings via GPO/GPP to Windows and Unix/OSX machines; deploying printers to users or computers via GPO/GPP; managing Active Directory machines, users and groups; software installations, configuration and upgrades; and software packaging, configuration and deployment via GPO or SCCM. I have been tasked with taking the lead on various aspects of support projects to ensure the continued improvement of user support and compliance with policy.In addition to this I develop web based applications using ASP.NET/MSSQL,PHP/MySQL as well as developing bespoke Windows based applications using .NET C#.

• Manage and supervise a production department consisting of over 100 staff including disciplinary; procurement, training and promotion; holiday booking; and appropriate delegation of tasks. • Ensure targets are met, if not exceeded. • Ensure Sales order requirements are completed appropriately and on time. • Ensure the maintenance and optimal running of industrial machinery and equipment, including arranging maintenance; calibration of equipment; and appropriate configuration of machinery to ensure optimum quality and elimination of downtime. • Ensure compliance with strict internal policies and Government legislation, such as animal welfare and food safety. • Budget management and cost control. • Ensure adherence to strict Health and Safety.Reporting to senior managers, I managed and led a team comprising of over 100 staff which included one Charge Hand deputy, one Line Leader, 7 Team Leaders and 4 Machine Minders. This was a senior position within the business which required availability at short notice often outside normal social hours,consisting of managing the day to day running of the department which included: liaising with other production management and/or production shifts, internal and external Engineering teams, Sales and Farms staff within the business and on-site Government employed staff; ensuring standards were met, if not exceeded; delegation of tasks to those most appropriate/suitable, as well as developing and ensuring a staff training development strategy to allow for a more even distribution of work while also providing positive staff motivation; ensuring strict time management; dealing with disciplinary procedures; staff holiday; and budget control including consumables, control of overtime and other negative costs such downtime. This required a high level of man management, leadership and organisational skills, as well as an ability to prioritise (sometimes conflicting) workloads efficiently and decisively.
