- Key bridge between the C-Suite, product management, operations and IT for a leading cross channel (retail + online) financial services provider.- Defined the software solution and customer journey road maps for 5 online financial services e-commerce brands to maximise both customer and business value in the short and long term against available resources and investment. Managed external agencies and teams to drive the initiative to overhaul the online user experience and customer journey for these e-commerce services.- With continual liaison with product heads and operations, drove development teams responsible for the ongoing evolution of the business’ e-commerce sites.- Introduced Agile practices and concepts through mentoring of scrum masters, PMs and development teams to significantly improve delivery confidence, predictability and release frequency.- Successfully delivered (to time and budget) the re-branding of a leading financial services e-commerce website and customer portal.

- Responsible for all mobile related solutions (Apps and APIs), across multiple financial services brands globally.- Primary mobile strategy and technology advisor working with business leaders to align vision with an executable long term roadmap.- Drove the delivery and technical solution for the corporations public and extensible API (REST API, .Net)- Drove the delivery and technical solution for 5 mobile apps (iOS and Android) targeted at the North American Market. The mobile apps offered both consumers and businesses secure access to financial services including account management and cheque cashing (B2C, B2B, Native iOS, Native Android, Java, Mitek)- Drove the delivery and technical solution for a bi-lingual financial services app aimed at the Spanish market. The app provided account management and loan management functionality to end users. (PhoneGap)- Introduced agile and continuous delivery based practices to bring a significantly behind schedule development project in on time and budget. These practices were seen to immediately bring a new level of delivery plan clarity to stakeholders and improved confidence by providing a mechanism for coping with continuously changing business requirements.

- Successfully transitioned the smart device manufacturer’s mobile application development team to an Agile SCRUM process. This role focused on collaboratively creating and prioritising tasks, ensuring the team followed the agile/scrum process, removing blocking issues, negotiating team work load, responsibility for all communication with stakeholders, and ensuring team motivation and productivity. Acted as lead technical advisor. The team was primarily focused on delivering customer and network operator requirements to the Android platform and pre-loaded apps.- Managed and lead multiple cross functional teams significantly and measurably improving team performance, productivity and introduced improved engineering practices (TDD, peer code reviews) that directly lead to improved productivity and software quality.Industry Elected member of Symbian Foundation User Interface Council- Acted as primary interface for communication and knowledge transfer between Symbian and Sharp’s parent company while Sharp was the number one manufacturer of Symbian based products in Japan.- Voted by industry to Symbian Foundations User Interface Guidance Council and invited member of the Symbian Foundations most senior platform council as a result of my contributions to, and enthusiasm working as, a member of the User Interface Guidance Council.Product Planning / Innovation- Performed a leading role in assessing new technology (including third party vendor selection), in relation to potential future products and created prototypes and project proposals– this role was obtained as a result of continually demonstrating an ability to combine technical expertise with an aptitude for developing and effectively communicating innovative new ideas for commercial features that would allow differentiation in a target market- Designed and developed prototype UI proposed for Sharp’s flagship TV line based on HTML5/W3C technology.
