Spent more time in the Fine Art Department and The City Hall in Newcastle than in lectures. Enjoyed photographing some of the day's stars- The Who, Zeppelin, T.Rex and John Peel's support and spare bed. Never got to grips with the earning bit, though! Ah well, the next bit was every bit as satisfying...Spent six years as either an adventure playground leader or detached youth worker- King's Cross, Elswick (Newcastle) and Cleator Moor, (Cumbria).The next 22 years included a mobile disco, a smallholding and a farm in Galloway. I then returned to Alston, Cumbria and any side of photography and story-capture I could manage. Most outputs now are via video with a few 2D exhibitions- mostly community oriented.Alston means a lot to me.
