Simon Dickens is a partner in the London office of Latham & Watkins practising principally in the Project Finance and Development practice group. He is also a member of the firm’s Africa, India, Oil & Gas, Energy and Islamic Finance practice groups.Mr. Dickens has represented developers, lenders and governmental entities in oil and gas, LNG, petrochemical, fertiliser, power generation, solar power and other commodity-based projects, with significant experience in structuring and documenting the commercial arrangements amongst the parties to the transactions as well as structuring debt, equity and security arrangements and documenting sophisticated finance transactions. In addition, he has represented companies raising debt capital in the United States and the United Kingdom capital markets, major insurance companies and other institutional investors acquiring corporate debt issuances, and has experience in structuring complex real estate, hotel and gaming and tax-driven corporate financings.In recent years, Mr. Dickens has represented Qatar Gas Transport Company Limited, Qatar Petroleum, Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas Company, DnB NOR Bank ASA, Crédit Agricole Commercial & Investment Bank, Export Import Bank of the United States, Japan Bank for International Cooperation, Nippon Export and Investment Insurance , The Export Import Bank of Korea, Korea Trade Insurance Corporation, Export Finance and Insurance Corporation, Jupiter Telecommunications Co.
