Close Brothers Military Services is a Financial Services company specialising in Insurance and Lending products to the Military Sector. Head of Projects and Development (2005 - 2006)I delivered Operational Management of all systems as well as all new projects. In addition to Programme Management I had responsibility for all aspects of IT and business projects. I also had line management of all the Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers and Testers. IT Programme Manager (2003 - 2005)As the Programme Management for all new initiatives for the full project lifecycle, I established the Project Management Environment to support controlled rapid change in response to market needs. This included the introduction of supporting methodology to allow projects to succeed, drawing upon principles from PRINCE2 and PMI. I successfully introduced a complete lifecycle system that enabled on-time and on-budget projects. As this was a green field project environment, I also developed and maintained reporting systems that allowed progress to be visible to all areas of the business.

Virtual Showroom is the suite of New Media Products delivered to dealerships of all sizes to facilitate their on-line marketing solutions.New Media Product, Training and Implementation Project Manager I joined Virtual Showroom when it was little more than a start up business. I stood up the first fee paying client. By working with the Clients, understanding their needs and developing the products to meet these needs, the Client base grew to over 200 customers until Glass’s Guide purchased Virtual Showroom. I then established a team of installation project managers, web consultants, trainers and developers. When I took overall responsibility for all of Glass’s eCommerce products the Virtual Showroom suite was worth £2.5 million in revenue, annually. I then held overall strategic and profit responsibility for all eCommerce and New Media Products. I negotiated contracts with all business partners as well as carrying out project management of all client requirements including creation of business requirements and functional specifications. I was instrumental in the product winning the “Motor Trader eCommerce Product Award” in 2003.

My initial employment history was with Automotive Sales where I held many roles including Retail and Fleet Sales. I established a brown field Citroen dealer for Hadley’s Basingstoke which rose to the #1 Citroen dealer in the UK under my leadership.
