Simon was an early backer of Animoca Brands coming on as a corporate advisor to assist in the restructuring of the Company when it was listed on the ASX in late 2017/early 2018.Under the guidance of Yat Siu and his vision for what true digital ownership would unlock, Animoca Brands pivoted heavily into NFTs and blockchain gaming organically and through strategic M&A during 2018-2020. This included investments in DapperLabs, Opensea and Axie Infinity; and acquisitions of Fuel Powered, Pixowl (the Sandbox), Nway, Gamee and Quidd.Simon advised and led the capital markets initiatives during this period to support Yat's vision and became heavily involved in the blockchain/NFT space. Simon formally started at Animoca Brands as a Vice President in late 2021/early 2022 to continue to assist the Company and its growing ecosystem of projects execute on their vision for an open and composable metaverse.Prior to Animoca Brands Simon worked in equity capital markets and M&A advisory at Taylor Collison and PwC specialising in IPO’s, placements, reverse takeovers, underwritings and project generation for companies across numerous sectors, sourcing capital from Australia and offshore
