- Leads all the factory activities, medium to large scale projects, including planning, production and maintenance.- Develop factory procedures for fabrication, safety and quality plan. - Develop production plan/schedules and establish procedures for maintaining a high standard of fabrication and measure progress. - Manage all factory resources (220 employees and machines) - Manage multiple divisions and departmental heads (manufacturing; spraying; final assembly; quality control and dispatch) - Analyse and assist planning & specification on project drawings in coordination with the Operations Manager. - Assisting with costing of incoming projects. - Managing maintenance schedules on all machinery. - Stock take and ordering of materials,- Ensuring continuous improvement to processes and production efficiencies. - Ensuring occupational health and safety standards are complied with. - Ensuring optimum competence of the operational staff. - Creating a work environment which is consistently focused on driving results, teamwork in support of common goals, personal accountability and continuous improvement. - Represent the company in CCMA meetings, assisting HR on factory staff issues.
