Programme Managed the latest release of the European IT transformation programme to deliver an end-to-end integrated “Retailbox” solution to the 550 store Etos Health & Beauty retailer. Led the Business and IT teams totalling approx. 100 resources, coordinating the activities of seven major vendors in a highly outsourced environment, including Oracle, Fujitsu, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, and HP.Reported to the Etos CEO and the Ahold European CIO, delivering a solution based primarily on the Oracle Retail platform – ORMS, ORPM, OWMS, OReIM, OSIM – and Fujitsu systems Storecenter and Global Store.

Steria are one of the Top 10 IT Services providers in Europe, and in my role I supported a number of projects in leading UK retailers as a specialist Retail Senior PM:Engagement Manager for Steria @ Boots supporting the Commercial, Retail, and Multi-Channel IT teams, responsible for the projects being delivered by Steria within these areas in addition to providing Retail Best Practice and Consultancy to the Boots teams.Delivery Manager of the Steria Unity proposition delivering mobile device solutions (Apple, Android) to enable an omni-channel retail capability utilising an agile development framework.Introduced as Programme Manager for Steria supporting a challenging CRM implementation of MS Dynamics at Whitbread in order to ensure delivery in aggressive timescales - which was successfully achieved.

Two releases of work undertaken whilst working as the Programme Lead for Wipro - the Oracle Systems Integrator at Morrisons. Initially, undertook the Full Project Lifecycle to implement the Oracle Retail modules ORMS (Merchandise) and ORPM (Price Management) into the Trading function for the foundation data set-up of Items and the creation and maintenance of Retail & Cost Prices, Retail Promotions, and Supplier Deals. Responsible for £6.25 million of the overall £10 million programme budget, and a flexed team of between 20 and 80 FTE's depending upon the phase, working both on-site and offshore, all delivering on-time and to budget in June 2010.Following on, Programme Managed a multi-project release of work (responsible for £11.5 million of total £15 million budget) working with the Trading, Retail, and Finance functions within Morrisons. The goal of the programme was to provide the ability to set different prices and promotions by Store. This involved integrating Oracle Retail with Morrisons new Retalix Storeline POS system, implementing the Oracle ReSA (Sales Audit) module, and processing legacy inventory transactions through Oracle Retail Stock Ledger and ReIM (Invoice Matching) module to Oracle Enterprise Business Suite modules GL, AP, & AR, with all data and information being made available within an Oracle Enterprise Data Warehouse.

- Led the project to deliver a total cost of ownership business case to replace or upgrade the existing Halfords Warehouse Management System from Manhattan. The latest WMOS offering from Manhattan was considered against the SAP WM module, considering licences, hardware, functional fit, implementation costs, and maintenance across 5 years.- Programme Managed the complex project deliverables towards PCI compliance, securing with a pragmatic approach the areas of the Halfords systems and infrastructure that stored, processed, or transmitted customer cardholder details.- Developed an internal process for all IT projects to follow through the entire end-to-end lifecycle. Based on Prince2 best practices but tailored to consider the Halfords landscape and the differing levels of Project Management experience within the Business Process Consultant team.

- Programme Managed Point Of Sale (ePOS) releases to the entire estate of 400+ Stores, 6000+ users, containing numerous projects of work managed by numerous Project Managers. Delivered within defined timescales without impacting the Store estates ability to trade.- Project Managed using Prince 2 principles projects which are now responsible for handling 80% of the automated Customer Credit Check & Handset Connection transactions undertaken by each & every Phones4u store, with Network Partners Vodafone, Orange, 3, T-Mobile, & Virgin Mobile.- Account Managed the business area responsible for managing Business Change & Improvement with Phones4u Network Partners.- Performed Operational Efficiency studies of the Phones4u Store processes & procedures in relation to the selling of a Mobile Handset & Network Contract. Actions recommended & subsequently undertaken saw Store errors reduce from 12% to 8% of the total transactions performed with an estimated cost saving of £1 million.

- Responsible for all distribution related current and future systems within the Ambient, Chill & Freeze operations, ensuring the 1500+ users of the current warehousing & distribution systems had continuous 100% availability. - Project Managed & co-ordinated the IT Cutover preparation & business readiness for the introduction of a new £10 million Merchandising and Order Capture solution (Retek) into the core Nisa business. - Successfully Project Managed the specification, development, and testing phases for a new warehouse management system (RDM) to be implemented within the Chill & Freeze operations.- Oversaw the successful implementation of a Voice picking solution across all Nisa warehouse operations, resulting in a significant improvement in both productivity and accuracy with the dispatch of goods to members.- Led a team of four application developers in both support &project based activities to ensure the successful day-to-day operations of legacy distribution systems.

Successfully Project Managed the implementation of a new warehouse management system as part of a multi-million pound project that replaced the entire back office systems portfolio with a suite of three integrated applications from Retek, Order Management, Merchandising, and Distribution Management. The systems were designed and delivered within extremely aggressive timescales, within budget and completely met the strategic board objective. The result being a new integrated architecture delivering a solid foundation for rapid business growth while facilitating seamless integration with suppliers and service partners, with customer serviceability ratios becoming the highest in the Argos retail group.Responsible for increasing warehouse outbound efficiencies by 30% through process re-engineering and liaison with senior management to ensure higher throughputs were achieved maintaining the same cost base. This resulted in a greater efficiency in manpower thus removing the usually found seasonal peaks in headcount requirements.Managed the integration of third-party logistics company, Unipart, into the jungle.com distribution operation to maintain and improve working practices and introduce standard operating procedures. This resulted in 90% of all orders received by 7pm day one, being picked, processed and delivered by day two. Responsibility extended to managing the ongoing contract with Unipart ensuring weekly, daily and even hourly inbound and outbound targets were met.
