Responsible for the strategic and tactical direction of the London team with 7 direct reports covering pre and post-trade activities within the capital markets space. First point of contact / escalation during European time zone and responsible for representing the Operations division at board meetings in London. Relationship management between front office groups and other operations groups in different regions including acting as a 'bridge' for Singapore and Toronto/New York for all London businesses (FX, Fixed Income, Funding, Derivatives, Global Precious Metals and Institutional Equities). Direct responsibility and oversight for the teams in London (covering metals, FX, client on-boarding, projects and fixed income) totalling 35+ people. Coverage on a cross functional basis included trade support, regulatory reporting, confirmations, settlements, reconciliations and client on-boarding (AML/KYC and reference data).As a key member of the Operations leadership team, contributed to the development of the Global Operations strategies that support TDS strategies, plans and objectives. Led the execution of the Global Operations strategy for Europe. Participated in town hall panel discussions and took lead across different people / innovation initiatives.Created a culture of continuous improvement that challenged the status quo from grassroots level upwards. Operating within a lean, cost cutting and control environment, enhanced the team's reputation for delivering on process improvements, project deliverables and KPIs.Vision In Action Award - winner in 2012 and first person to win the award from the London office.

Assumed control for a larger team (FI team leader remit was extended to include IRT derivative / precious metals trade support and an expanded product range for transaction reporting). Enhanced the team with a key focus on improving controls and ensuring KPIs were met. Alongside the Head of Operations created a new operations team for London (prior to joining there was no team in London). Initial work involved managing transition plans from Toronto to London. Thereafter led a small team covering FI trade support, transaction reporting and settlements. Held wider office responsibilities such as representing London on projects and process improvement for the group.

Last role at Lehman Brothers was working as a settlements manager. Prior to working in settlements I started life out working in the Client Onboarding AML/KYC team.
