The reconciliation and interaction with in-territory (Africa) country Finance Managers regarding outstanding issues which are operationally managed by the territories. Reviewing and approving monthly offshore accounts and preparing the Divisional Monthly Management Report.Also the Divisional Budgeting and Forecasting plus the Expatriate Payroll & Retirement Savings PlanOperational overseeing of parts sales made outside African territories. Discussing with territories on the terms of the business booked via UK entity directly to customers – pricing, Incoterms, customers, payment (L/C’s). Part of a large matrix organisation, the UK business is split into four business lines – aggregates, concrete, asphalt and contracting and cement – which together operate around 300 manufacturing sites and employ over 3,500 people. Revenue is circa £1.2bn and the Supply Chain budget is circa £250m.2 direct reports, 2 indirect reports. Complex Stakeholder Management role due to matrix nature of role. Provide Global Reporting to Heidelberg.Key Achievements include• Finance project lead on a national transformational change programme including budget control of a new future fit building to house approx. 240 employees across all business areas, centralisation of customer service functions, transport planning and new optimisation software platform. • Created, introduced and implemented financial reports to support the development of ‘supply chain’ as a separate business line within the UK business.• Developed KPIs across supply chain ensuring continuous improvement and dynamic performance management.• Identified and optimised key logistic financial process controls at the Shared Service Centre. Worked with and managed relationships within multiple sites to improve reporting sets and BI available to the business. • Developed new utilisation-based rate card being rolled out to Franchisee’s along with new contract the impact of which is addressing an ageing fleet profile while supporting partners to improve service levels.• Introduced a third partner logistics provider into the business

I managed a team of Controllers both locally and through Northern Europe responsible for the distribution of €280m of Kaolin through the Paper Mills of (mainly) Northern Europe and Scandinavia. I also managed the Central Finance team of Imerys Minerals Limited. This team prepares the Financial Reporting of Imerys Minerals Ltd, the main UK trading entity of the Group, with annual sales of circa £250m mainly into the Ceramics, Paper and Performance Minerals markets. I also managed both the Accounts Payable and Receivable of Imerys Minerals Ltd.I have extensive experience of budgeting, forecasting, reporting and consolidating financial information from various sources to present in ways relevant to Management. This requires a good understanding of variance analysis. I have also worked on Business Intelligence projects aimed at improving the efficiency of both data collation and presentation. I have worked closely with and provided business partnership for Commercial Directors and Financial Controllers, as well as providing sales managers with timely information in a suitable format. I am used to presenting financial information to Management, many of them non-finance professionals. I also managed a team of 9 staff, locally, who are responsible for local financial management, including the preparation and filing of financial statements. This includes liaising with our accountants (Deloitte).
