I am a poet, poet-translator and writer; founder and Editor-in-Chief of Muscaliet Press, Managing Editor for the Open Library of Humanities and of its flagship Open Library of Humanities Journal. I hold an AHRC funded PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Essex, where I have worked as a freelance tutor in Publishing, most recently devising and delivering ‘The Publishing Project’. I am also an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA) and I am an Associate Fellow of the University of Essex.My latest collection, ‘Tamám’ (Litmus, 2020), is an experimental reimagining of ‘The Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám’, which explores translation theory while examining pieces of evidence from, and the circumstances of, the Somerton Man case of 1948.I have participated in various poetry events and reading series, including 'Sounds New' festival in Canterbury, Kent, 'Out of Essex' at the University of Essex, and 'University Camarade' poetry at the Rich Mix theatre, London. My poetry has also featured in 'STAND' magazine, 'Kent Review', 'Creel 2' and 'Botch' magazine, and my translations of the Chinese poet, Zhang Yangyang, were featured in 'Chinese Arts and Letters' journal.My current main employment is working as Managing Editor for the Open Library of Humanities, a scholarly open access publisher of 34 academic journals.
