My motivation to join an established merchant payment solutions company was to manage the transformation of largely paper-based and highly repetitive manual processes to a cloud-based solution which would operate as a central hub for billing, customer relations and reporting. A bespoke solution was necessary due to combinations of off-the-shelf solutions unable to fulfil all requirements. The platform required the import of data from multiple sources, automating reporting and maintenance tasks, whilst providing an improved experience for customers and partners to view financial reports and access data insights.Primary achievement: Developing a custom platform that fulfilled business objectives, streamlined onboarding, reporting and significantly reduced manual record keeping.

Initially employed as a full-stack developer, the role was a mix of client facing, technical leadership and design disciplines; identifying and summarising projects; creating technical specifications; co-ordinating design & development team. Latterly, focussing on management projects, ensuring they were delivered on budget and on schedule. Working closely with diverse range of clients, undertaking regular site reviews and liaising with sales and marketing teams on strategies to increase client satisfaction and aide in the continued growth of their businesses.Primary achievement: Building a cohesive team able to deliver projects efficiently, modernising the e-commerce platform which was central to growing the business and portfolio.

Managing Director of web agency, comprising designers, developers, marketers and copywriters. Specialising in e-commerce and client managed websites, responsible for communicating project specification with remote teams, ensuring websites were delivered on time and on budget. Ultimately, responsible for bringing together an effective team who created user-centric websites that fulfilled client expectations.Primary achievement: Created bespoke platform for managing e-commerce websites utilising open source software; learnt the importance of effective system administration.

Employed as e-commerce project manager to liaise with clients, produce detailed project specifications and organise design and development teams to deliver multiple projects simultaneously. Role initially relied on in-house publishing system to produce static websites. Latterly, I was responsible for the introduction of dynamic deployment of websites, dramatically improving production workflow and client satisfaction.Primary achievement: Overseeing the move from an out-of-date platform which published static HTML to utilising a fully dynamic, scalable solution.

Responsible for redesign and development of a national double-glazing company website. Initially focussing on lead generation via search engine optimisation and web promotion, the role expanded in second year to working with other companies in the group to improve growth. Projects included online quoting and booking, with particular focus on usability and how it leads to increased conversions.Primary achievement: Increasing Internet leads by 500% above goal set in first 12-months.

Overseeing design and content update of sales portals for several UK Public Bodies (Police, NHS), responsible for team of five designers, liaising closely with web development, sales and marketing teams. Identified the need for the design team to adopt emerging technology, improving productivity and client satisfaction dramatically.Primary achievement: Supported the team in the move from using inline styling to external style sheets that were far easier to maintain.
