Vice President, Hypertension Program Leader, responsible for establishing the long-term vision, setting strategy, and achieving strong execution of the Hypertension (ALN-AGT) Development Program in order to maximize its future clinical and commercial success in the treatment of hypertension. As the Senior Director of Global Marketing I collaborated with across the global organization to develop and implement the global marketing strategy for Soliris within the indication of PNH. I was also responsible for managing a team of marketers who created global tactics and programs that align with the overarching marketing strategy for all target audiences. And secondly to ensure that the materials created allowed the markets execute against the global strategy. In addition to my role as the global marketing lead for the commercial product Soliris I was also responsible for leading the development of the launch preparation effort for the late stage, 2nd generation complement inhibitor ALXN1210. These responsibilities included pre/post launch strategies, LCM, positioning, messaging and pre-launch market preparation activities.

International Developing Brands Director Oncology, Inflammation/immunology (IBD) and NeuroscienceAs the International Developing Brands Director I served as the global commercial lead reporting into the senior vice president of international marketing. My key responsibility was to create the commercial strategy for 5 early stage investigational compounds in three key therapy areas, Oncology, Inflammation and Neuroscience. I collaborated with the cross-functional clinical development teams to create/deliver LCM plans to ensure they aligned to both the commercial strategic plan and the mid to long-term global strategic ambitions of the company. In addition to providing commercial input into the development plans I ensured business intelligence, analytics and medical affairs teams delivered market insights and appropriate forecasts allowing me to create a clear and concise strategic recommendations for key investment decisions. Other responsibilities included providing updates to senior executives/CEO, supporting business development opportunities and delivering a therapy area strategy for the priority TA of immuno-oncology.

As a Global Marketing Director I was accountable for leading a world-class launch strategy globally through robust implementation of AZ way of launch excellence and marketing excellence. I collaborated with the cross functional team which included clinical, commercial and medical affairs teams to pull through and leverage key LCM plans from TPC to promotional claims/strategy and ensure the brand ambition reflects market insight and MC view points, in addition to supporting commercial investment decisions. I also interacted closely with in-line and emerging Brilinta marketing teams to ensure coherent strategy and consistency with Brilinta positioning. Actively integrating insight, business insight, medical affairs and payer teams’ to input into global strategy, highlighting key risks and uncertainties and proposing pro-active mitigation plans. Other key responsibilities included presenting brand strategies and providing updates as appropriate to senior executives, regional and MC leadership teams and governance.

As a GMAL I led the strategic development of the integrated medical plan (IMAP) for multiple brands within the diabetes and metabolics TA. This role was at the interface of both the Global Commercial and the R&D organisation and the regions (RMDs) with a focus on global brands relevant to the specific TA. I was responsible for the creation of the strategic, and regionally aligned input into the development programs of the brands (help securing right trial designs, target label, program delivery and geographical deployment), in full alignment with the global commercial organization. I was accountable for generation of new data(including leverage of regional medical data, ISRs, phase IIIb/IV) and activities (e.g. CME content, pubs) and for input on LCM for global brands whilst strategic and scientific directions to the broader medical affairs organization. In addition I was actively involved on a select set of most critical Brand Councils, Global Brand Teams and GPTs/CFDTs, bringing single medical commercial input to proactively shape appropriate R&D and Global commercial decisions. I led strategic KOL engagement across brands within the specific TAs (accountable for appropriate relationships), and ensuring proper collaboration with international medical associations.
