My time at N26 was spent working on their Functional Review project and helping to better understand the use of the Workforce Plan. I have been able to develop more skills in SQL Server, especially using SSIS and SSAS. I then moved to working with Python more, using Anaconda. We used packages such as Pandas, Numpy, Seaborn, xlsxwriter, requests and more. These allowed us to generate more analytics for our Client Experience arm of the Performance team. I looked to push on with these things and get some more analytical experience, and used the data sources we had to get a better, more in depth understanding of our data. This was done, by extracting data into a Pandas Dataframe and then being able to manipulate the data however was required.While I did this, I was also looking at pushing on with improving the ETL processes and trying to increase the level of data automation. I built up SQL Server scripts and SSIS packages that allowed data load automation from various General ledger structures and loads this into the Standard structure that was held in the internal systems. While working at the university over the summer of my third year of my masters degree, I worked on developing the idea of an alternative for nuclear fusion. The investigation was designed to see whether or not it would be plausible to actually develop a heavy-ion fusion reactor using cyclotron accelerators. This proposes using more available resources and using less space and energy consuming techniques as those currently in use at ITER etc.
