First-class BEng Acoustical & Audio Engineering Graduate with working experience in environmental and building acoustic consultancy and also in audio engineering, post-production for audio, musician and music production.I am working towards a career in the industries involving audio and acoustics. My previous experience is with live music production at festivals and venues, and in the studio where I excelled working on sound design projects and telling stories through music and sound effects. My recent experience is in acoustic consultancy which includes noise monitoring in all manner of locations from cities and towns, to out in the country for proposed developments, and also noise monitoring at music festivals. making sure to measure the most representative situation for noise in an area, and be able to assess and report on where noise is not an issue, and otherwise when it is, how it can be mitigated.This experience has recently extended to internal sound testing, such as for sound insulation, with measurements for both airborne and impact noise. Tying in to my initial interest with consultancy and the architectural acoustics side of the industry as I enjoy acoustics in rooms from my studio days.Additionally, I enjoyed DSP related projects through my studies at the University of Salford with programming artificial reverb simulators, and later in my studies I was able to learn synthesis and simulate some musical instrument tones and understand the physics of musical instruments from my Music and Speech module, and programming relating to speech. And given my interest for music and audio equipment, I was able to take this interest into university with my final year project being to design a valve circuit signal processor that could operate under a typical low voltage and test its characteristics and natural distortion. And later using this to perform subjective testing on participants to rate music samples that would be passed through my valve circuit against the samples that hadn't. All of which required me to research and understand the electronics and design of circuits, and the process for subjective testing for online use through the COVID lockdown period. I don't wish to ignore my previous experiences and would love to continue working as an audio engineer and produce music for artists voluntarily wherever the opportunities present themselves.
