I am a serving CEO with over 30 years experience of working across the insurance industry and related supply chain as a c-suite leader. My career has included working across Personal and Commercial lines covering most products with a focus on claims but a broader experience of working across multiple disciplines. I have worked for some of the largest UK insurers, a leading global insurer and more recently for a privately owned business backed by private equity.I have experience of working nationally across the UK and leading teams across the wider European Union.I am experienced board member and I currently sit on 3 Boards. Apart from the EDAM Board, I am an active senior member of the Credit Hire Organisation (Trade. Association)for the past 4 years where I have worked, over the last 2 years specifically as part of a 4 person team who have now successfully re-negotiated an industry wide trade agreement with the UK insurance sector that will transform our industry. This is known as the GTA (General terms of Agreement). This has involved working closely with The Association of British Insurers and the MOJ.Over the past 18 months I have also been working as an unpaid non- executive Director of the Deans Trust which runs 13 school academies across the Northwest of England often in the most socially challenged areas. Throughout my career I have always been a keen advocate of supporting the next generations across all demographics find their pathway to employment and build the confidence to be themselves as they grow.I am also undergoing training to work as an employability mentor for the a large charity based in Liverpool where I will also be a leadership mentor for the management team.
