I am the Founder and Executive Director of Baboon Project Kenya, holding a B.A. degree in International Business and an MBA in Project Management. My academic achievements have further fueled my lifelong passion for wildlife conservation, providing me with knowledge in wildlife management, conservation program management, and community engagement techniques in protected areas.My expertise lies in transforming people's perspectives on the benefits of conservation. With over 20 years of experience in senior management roles with various multinational companies in East Africa, I have made tangible impacts at the grassroots level. During my tenure, I successfully implemented projects and established brands in the finance, manufacturing, FMCG, oil, and gas sectors.At Baboon Project Kenya, I have utilized my experience and passion to develop projects that prioritize conservation. Our primary objective is to advocate for wildlife through education, aiming to reduce human-wildlife conflict among the communities residing near our national game parks. Through close collaboration with local communities and the government, we address key threats to wildlife, such as habitat restoration, protection from environmental pollution, and the eradication of invasive non-palatable plant species that harm pastures in the parks.Our conservation efforts have made a significant impact. We have installed water troughs and boreholes at the national parks to mitigate drought and provide animals with a source of water during dry seasons. Additionally, we regularly organize park cleanups to remove plastics and other pollutants that endanger wildlife.We take pride in raising conservation awareness within the wider community and educating children through wildlife clubs. We firmly believe that children are the future conservationists, and we are dedicated to empowering them.
