I’ve been restoring period and listed buildings all over Kent since 1990 and offering myself as a project manager since 2000.I have a huge portfolio of satisfied clients, some of whom own incredibly interesting and important historic buildings all over the South East of England. I decided to go back into education to qualify as a structural engineer. After graduating with a degree in Civil/structural engineering from the University of Greenwich, I worked in London for a year. During that time, I worked on some of the most iconic buildings in and around London.In the summer of 2022 James Clague of James Clague Architects approached me and asked if I'd like to put my heritage experience, business management and engineering skills together to become the managing director of BSF Consulting Engineers in Canterbury. That continued until June 2024 when I decided to start my own business. Oyster Consulting will offer structural design, heritage advice for period and listed property owners, structural reports, building diagnostics and advice for buyers and sellers of property.
