As an IT Consultant for this company my role was to provide a high level of guidance and support in order to ensure our clients purchased the most suitable equipment for their company's needs, to implement and maintain that equipment and to provide a premium support service in order to ensure retention of their business and growth of their own business.Responsibilities include:Weekly maintenance and service calls to clients premises in order to check for server faults and ensure the smooth running of all their equipment.Designing networks Diagnosing faults.Liaising with Directors to implement the best suited hardware and software solutions for their needs.Installations and migrations of the following servers SBS2011, Server 2008 R2 DC, File, Print and Exchange 2010Maintenance of VMware ESX, including install/migration of new virtual machines such as terminal servers, DC, exchange servers and file servers.Installation and migration of Blackberry Enterprise Server Express (BESX)Working with a variety of operating systems including: XP, Vista, Windows 7, Server 2000, 2003, 2008 and SBS2011. Exchange 2003, 2007 and 2010. Completing detailed project plans prior to any installations.Maintaining and setting up Watchguard and Juniper firewalls.Teaming network switchers for load balancing and greater bandwidthBuilding business cases for clients to upgrade equipment. Completing road maps.Smartphone support including iPhone and Blackberry.
