Due to recent acquisition, Sequel required an onsite PM for the integration of IT systems and services supporting a department of ~80 people in a new office. This included: - Establishing dual-path network connectivity back to the main office- Migration of services such as Active Directory, e-mail,SharePoint Online- Expansion of existing Sequel facilities for VDI access and development VM deployment- Lift & shift of hardware between data centers for retained services- Creation of new Common Desktop Environment (CDE) for phased deployment via MDT- Testing, Planning and coordination of the CDErollout. - Identification of software requirements for packaging and deployment via SCCM- Ensuring that licences etc were novated to Sequel- Creating new InfoSec policies and support processes

Assignments were mixed between working on single large projects and managing a portfolio of smaller concurrent projects. Due to the nature of the Shell Global Account, projects were usually staffed with a diverse range of people, across multiple functions and time-zones.

Responsible for the implementation of new Unix systems, Oracle and Intranet Servers primarily within Shell’s Europe/Africa region. Examples include:• Working with Sun Professional Services to deliver two new Sun E6900s to Shell Trading in Houston, adding them to the existing Veritas Cluster. This was a procurement, planning, co-ordination and documentation exercise with Veritas expertise provided by SPS. • Building stand-alone environments for teams of geophysicists to work on processing of highly-confidential data. These were based on Sun E450s, with extra ethernet ports and Sun storage arrays.• Migrate Oracle instances from local infrastructure onto shared Oracle/Linux servers in global data centers. This involved the co-ordination of testing for a large number of applications. Each application would then either be migrated to the GDC or rationalized onto reduced local infrastructure.• Provide infrastructure consultancy, technical skill and support through the life cycle of a migration from Landmark’s R2003 to “Emerald City”. This project was highly successful in delivering a standardised product across Shell EP Europe.• Migrate an Active Directory LDAP authentication service from technical engineering to a supportable product, enabling Global Linux and Solaris rollout. This involved the addition of a new Linux forest in the existing AD infrastructure, consolidation of several NIS pools into a single workable user & group database, which was then used to populate the new Linux forest.• Assess a series of systems for Sarbanes-Oxley C12 compliance. Where possible planning remediation steps. Where not possible, managing the migration to C12 compliant infrastructure.
