Simon Greenshields has more than 35 years of diverse experience in the physical and financial commodity markets, including the development of Morgan Stanley’s asset-based commodity trading model. Prior to Phibro, Mr. Greenshields most recently served as Global Co-Head of Morgan Stanley’s Commodity Division where he also served on the Firm’s Management Committee. Mr. Greenshields’ career spanned over 30 years at Morgan Stanley, during which he created and managed most of the Division’s business lines including Crude Oil Trading & Marketing, and Global Power & Gas. Simon Greenshields has pioneered innovative structured transactions, produced record revenues, and built global market-leading businesses over the course of his career. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Mr. Greenshields worked in London as a foreign exchange & fixed income trader for J. Aron (Goldman Sachs) and as a money markets broker for Harlow Meyer Savage.Seasoned Risk Manager responsible for 130 consecutive quarters of positive Net Revenues in Morgan Stanley’s Commodity Division.Executed multiple high-profile M&A transactions and structured financings.Acquired Phibro LLC in January 2016.Mr. Greenshields and his team of former senior Morgan Stanley executives will build out Phibro’s investment strategy, risk management, and operations.Mr. Greenshields graduated with a BSc.
