Sculpture by the Lakes opened in 2011 and has been described as one of the most beautiful and unique sculpture parks in the UK. I believe that art should be experienced, not merely viewed, and so the setting of the sculptures and landscaping around them are very important. It is also important to give the viewer the time and space to connect with the art, for this reason we limit the number of daily visitors to Sculpture by the Lakes. We are open every day but visits must be booked through the website www.sculpturebythelakes.co.uk.

11th - 13th September 2020 Wellbeing by the Lakes is a 3-day festival exploring what it means to be mindful and live well in this fast-paced modern world. A curated blend of experts talks, meditation, movement sessions, art, live performance and healing therapies will open your eyes to fresh experiences for wellbeing.

We have three exhibition spaces at Sculpture by the Lakes and represent artists from the UK and internationally. The gallery is over 100 sq metres and is our main exhibition space, Cafe by the Lakes and Studio 1 combine to make us the largest gallery space in Dorset.

Cafe by the Lakes is situated at the award winning Sculpture by the Lakes. Our lovely cafe offers visitors a relaxed, cosy setting where you can enjoy a freshly prepared, seasonal menu made by our head chef James Hogarth, sourced directly from our very own kitchen garden. ‘Field to Plate’ takes on a new meaning when you can see the vegetables growing just a short walk away!
