Have also written for broad range of consumer magazines, including BMW, Alfa Romeo, Mercedes-Benz, The National Trust, Npower, Lexus USA... Having built this publication out of nothing with my colleague, videographer and photographer Matt Bigwood, we have now sold the title to a local publisher and are looking at new news/publicity projects and campaigns. The Wotton Times proved that paid-for local newsprint does have a future where it is embedded in the community it serves and creates content with integrity and passion.

I created The Memory Van with my wife Madeline as a social enterprise initiative to help those whose lives have been affected by dementia issues. The van was a roadshow of memorabilia from the 1940s-70s, a mobile exhibition staged at care homes in the west country. The experience of our roadshow was subsequently documented for use by the care homes and residential centres we visited. The project has now been shelved although we continue to receive enquiries and event requests from even as far afield as Australia - The Memory Van was the answer to a question asked by so many people whose lives have been affected by dementia issues..

NCTJ-indentured postgrad trainee reporter, progressing to chief reporter, sub-editor and roving relief editor for the group, with posts including editorship of the Penarth Times and Barry and District News in Wales. Final role with group was at helm of its first magazine acquisition, Town and Country Magazine, which lasted for a year before the group folded it due to ebbing ad revenue.
