Having joined the British Army in September 2011, I served 5 years in the Royal Electrical and Mechancichal Engineers as an Aircraft Technician, primarily working on the Mk1 Apache Attack Helicpter. I have worked in a very high pressure military environment, ensuring aircraft are serviceable by completing both corrective and preventative maintenance. I am looking for a fresh challenge and I’m eager to gain additional qualifications and experience to enhance my career. My rank upon leaving the British Army was Lance Corporal and I was a class 2 technician, this meant that I supervised class 3 technicians whilst being left to work unsupervised for most of my tasks. The main qualification I achieved is a NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Maintenance Engineering which I gained through an Advanced Apprenticeship Scheme.As a skilled and experienced Aircraft Technician, I am confident working on a variety of systems and have done so on a daily basis, these include:• Hydraulics• Gas Turbine Engines• Drive Systems• Pneumatics• Flying Controls• Aircraft Tracking and Balancing• Pumps• Environmentally Controlled Systems• Airframe Repairs• High Pressure Air
