I have over 30 years of experience in successfully managing and growing multiple businesses. This has provided me with transferable skills in management incl. team building and training, international lecturing, customer service & targeted marketing.I have thrived on a career that involved helping and supporting the public. After setting up a very successful hairdressing salon, employing 25 full time stylists, I initiated a training program for students not attending school. Starting with 8 and expanding to over 100. Many of these had experienced adverse childhood experiences and it necessitated a focus on rebuilding self-esteem and trust. Employing Armstrong’s ‘Seven kinds of Smart’, I achieved 100% success rate, with all students returning to school, completing Key Stages and an NVQ in Hairdressing. The success of my business was based on exceeding client expectations and investing time into my team to create a culture of a genuinely caring team.After this I was asked to join a lecturing team on an international circuit. I would lecture over a period of three days, to small groups of 20 or an auditorium of 400. I loved the experience and did this for over 5 years and thrived on the challenge of keeping the audience engaged, interested and for them to enjoy the experience.
