Managing a portfolio of corporate & commercial clients who are facing financial and operational challenges, with a focus to support viable businesses. Confronting challenges in a proactive and understanding manner, thus enabling the return of customers’ relationship to mainstream Bank, in order to the minimising of losses, protecting and enhancing the Bank’s relationship. Objectives include providing excellent customer service via timely, transparent & effective communication.

Working with the Relationship Management Team to spot emerging risk issues within the Portfolios and ensure that appropriate strategies are put in place to manage any situation accordingly. To provide support, guidance and a sounding board to deal with challenging situations and any trading performance issues encountered by the Clients. To ensure the Relationship Managers follow good Credit Stewardship processes and have a Deep Understanding of their Clients and the associated collateral offered to RBSIF for funding. To provide training to the Relationship Managers and their Assistants as required

Responsible for leading, motivating and inspiring a team of six Auditors and Surveyors based across the South West.My key focuses are identifying problem exposures within the SME portfolio to ensure they are properly monitored to ensure Bad debts are minimised.Work closely with key stakeholders within Client Relations and New Business to ensure the team is managed efficiently, prioritising risk profile. I am focused on raising service levels, coaching my team through observation to view every client interaction as an opportunity to provide support and improve the group’s relationship.

Initially my support is via the Relationship Manager and then, where appropriate taking over the relationship. Through the support of both internal and external experts, provision of additional guidance or support can be given to the business.Where the situation cannot be resolved I work with the clients' advisers to ensure the best outcome for all.

Review statistical trends to identify emerging risk issues within the Portfolio and ensure that appropriate strategies are put in place to manage any situation accordingly. Provide direct support to the Relationship Managers on risk management, guidance and strategy to deal with challenging situations encountered by the Clients. Ensure the Relationship Managers follow good Credit Stewardship processes and have a deep understanding of their Clients and the associated collateral offered to RBSIF for funding.
