During my first teaching role, I was quickly head-hunted by the school, and they offered me a position right after I qualified. My experience brought a wealth of knowledge to the classroom, and my enthusiasm for the subject was evident from the start. This dedication and passion led to a swift promotion, and I soon found myself as the Acting Head of Department.One of the significant challenges I faced was overseeing the transition through a government-led change of priority within the National Curriculum, shifting from ICT to Computing. I embraced the opportunity and successfully navigated the changes, demonstrating my adaptability and leadership skills.Beyond my teaching responsibilities, I actively engaged in various school-wide initiatives, such as providing support for the Duke of Edinburgh awards and fostering strong relationships with other schools in the area, both at the primary and secondary levels.
