Currently residing in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Simon has a passion for connecting people and systems with purpose and finding creative ways to impact the world for good. Simon's previous corporate role was Global Marketing Consultant for Christian Vision, one of the UK's largest charities with offices throughout Europe, CIS, Africa, North America, Latin America, and Asia Pacific. Providing support, training, and expert consultation to teams across the world has provided Simon with a wealth of cross-cultural experience. After leading innovation in Facebook, Instagram, and Google AI ad platforms, Simon pioneered conversational chat based engagement initiatives and was instrumental in the establishment of the AI lab greenhouse project at CV. Simon and his wife Kamini were co-founders and Director of Milk and Honey in Cambodia, an Australian organisation previously operating an English School in Sihanoukville, Cambodia for over 10 years. Simon's documentary "Missions in the Wilderness" about the school won most inspiring documentary at the International Christian Film Festival in Florida and several other awards. In 2019 they founded Freedom International, working to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking by educating the vulnerable. They have two amazing daughters, Ravi, and Elysabeth, and are based in Phnom Penh.Simon continues his focus on web apps and business systems, and has recently developed several bespoke web applications in his freelance and contract work in the non profit sector with Story Strategist. His personal passion project is a faith based app to help children sleep with peace of mind, and to instill a strong and healthy sense of identity and security.
