I am a passionate believer in supporting individuals in their pursuit of independence, purpose and meaning in their lives. These are unique individuals who have the right to thrive but are pushing through the headwinds of physical, biological and/or cognitive challenges.I am proud to be a part of a professional and caring Leisure & Health team, providing quality individualised leisure programs offering this support. My latest and proudest achievement to date is having established a designated art gallery space within the facility and presenting new exhibitions each month. Exhibitions feature works by residents, staff, family members as well as by professional artists or any other art sourced from the local area. Other programs I have been responsible for include Arts and Crafts (painting, collage), Music Appreciation, Seated Yoga, Brain Teasers / Quizzes.My years of experience in the creative industries (film & TV), running my own business and customer service has grounded my strength in organisational abilities along with building and maintaining an inclusive team structure.Working with residents as equals (teamwork) has been key to the success of these programs. Not only are they unique individuals, they are their own experts.
