Based on a broad Engineering Science degree, I bridge between mechanical & electronic engineering and applied physics, with specific interests in mechanisms, optics, sensing, and fluids Innovation – using powerful tools such as Structured Innovation and TRIZ to identify and select valuable innovative ideas, whether these are solutions to technical problems or new propositions/unmet needs. I facilitate workshops and idea generation to develop innovative products and process solutions.Patents and IP – The combination of strong technical understanding with solid knowledge and experience with patents means I augments clients’ IP processes in three key ways: 1. Helping clients during the application process by facilitating the conversation between technical teams and patent attorneys to ensure the key information is transferred to maximise the patent value in terms of scope and detail. 2. Reviewing clients’ patent applications to identify areas weakest to circumvention, and the value of different scopes and fall-back positions from a technical and commercial perspective. 3.
